1. How do I use Moldit?
You can see how to use the Moldit here. We also enclose a booklet with instructions in all orders.
2. Do I burn myself when I touch Moldit after it has been heated in boiling water?
Plastic does not have the same heat capacity as water has, and therefore it does not give off heat in the same way. That’s why you will not burn yourself on Moldit. But be sure to let the water drain away Moldit, prior to use.
3. What binds to Moldit?
Moldit binds to most types of plastic. Moldit will not bind to glass, wood, metal, ceramic surfaces, porcelain and more. We do not recommend heating the Moldit in a plastic bowl, since it might bind to the bottom of the bowl. If you accidentally stick Moldit, to something you didn’t want, then wait until it cools down. Normally it will let go of most surfaces agian.
4. Is Moldit really biodegradable?
Yes it really is. Moldit consists of a biodegradable polyester by the name of Polycaprolactone. Moldit is degraded by natural occurrences of bacteria in nature. It is of course good for the environment, since plastic left in the nature is a big problem. It also means that we do not recommend that you use Moldit to make things for the garden, such as a compost container.
